What You'll Do: As a Quality Inspector, you will help ensure that customer products meet quality standards before they are shipped. You will inspect parts, perform basic tests, review paperwork, and maintain records to make sure all products are processed correctly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect parts for quality, appearance, and accuracy using measuring tools and, when needed, a microscope.
Perform tests such as coating thickness checks, adhesion testing, corrosion testing, and fluid resistance testing.
Review job paperwork, production records, and customer requirements to ensure everything is completed correctly.
Verify and approve certifications and quality documentation.
Maintain records such as oven temperature charts, humidity logs, and inspection reports.
Track and manage customer-supplied measuring tools and equipment.
Process paperwork related to rejected parts and help ensure issues are documented properly.
Review incoming materials and supplier documentation to confirm they meet quality standards.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality and on-time delivery.
Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Work closely with Purchasing and Production teams to support quality and operational goals.
Tools & Equipment Used:
Measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Microscopes and coating measurement equipment
Inspection and testing materials
Computer systems, logs, and quality records
Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow procedures and work with documentation
Basic computer skills
Ability to use measuring tools or willingness to learn
Prior quality inspection or manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required depending on experience level
